This insect museum and butterfly farm (Insektum museum und schmetterlinge farm) is located near Steinhuder Meer which is a shallow lake in the town of Steinhude, Germany. The museum has on display all types of preserved insects including butterflies, scorpions, bugs, beetles amongst others and live insects as well. It also has a small size butterfly farm, precious stone gallery and a lab where the insects are worked on.
The entry fee to see the museum is 8.5 euros per person and is well worth the money (pictures and video below).
