Shame on me

I walked away from my reflection
And I forgot the face in the mirror
I stood on the valley, but I was born a mountain
I threw stones at the glass house of all that was me
I reduced myself to his perception of me
I lost touch with the reality of the Queen deep inside
I gave him the gun; the bullet pierced my confidence
I let him tell me who I was
Shame on me
Shame on me

  1. We all have hard lessons to learn from love. The good part is that once you experience the heartaches, you can see clearly what you want from the next love.

    1. Exactly, our ability to learn from these experiences makes all the difference. Thanks for your comment Taylor 👍🏾
